1 dead, 1 injured in shooting
One person was killed and another was injured in a shooting Sunday morning in southwestern Travis County, a sheriff's office spokesman said.
Deputies were called about 9 a.m. to a house in the 500 block of Alva Drive in Briarcliff in response to a shooting, Travis County sheriff's office spokesman Roger Wade said. The injured person was taken to the hospital. That person's condition was unknown, Wade said.
The shooting suspect was in custody Sunday but had not been arrested or charged, Wade said. The suspect's name was not released, nor were the names of the victims.

20-year-old man fatally shot
A 20-year-old man was shot and killed early Sunday in southeastern Williamson County, authorities said.
The man arrived at St. David's South Austin Medical Center about 4:45 a.m. with a gunshot wound and died a short time later, Austin police said. Police initially investigated the death as Austin's 12th homicide of the year before learning that the shooting had taken place in Williamson County.
